Flexible, service-friendly district heating substation for medium-sized buildings
The DSU PRO is a pre-configured, indirect district heating substation developed in cooperation with Danfoss partners to support district heating installation requirements. Designed for medium-sized building applications, it transfers thermal energy from a local or district heating network to the building’s heating system and can also support connection to domestic hot water systems, depending on the project setup.
Built around Danfoss district heating expertise, DSU PRO combines reliable heat transfer, practical installation flexibility, and a service-friendly design in one compact solution. Its configuration options make it adaptable to different customer and utility requirements, while support for digital monitoring enables utilities to include substation data as part of the wider district energy system.

FAQ
Where does DSU PRO fit in a district heating system?
DSU PRO is designed for installations where secondary-side components such as pumps and mixing modules are already defined or delivered separately, allowing greater system flexibility.
How does DSU PRO support different project setups?
The station is designed to be used in systems where certain components are defined externally, allowing engineers and installers to adapt the solution to project-specific needs rather than relying on a fully fixed configuration.
Can DSU PRO be integrated into existing district heating systems?
Yes, it is designed to support integration into both new and existing systems, especially where flexibility in component selection and system design is required.
What should be considered when planning a DSU PRO installation?
Project-specific factors such as system layout, selected secondary-side components, and control strategy should be defined early, as DSU PRO is designed to integrate into these decisions rather than replace them.
Can DSU PRO support multiple circuits?
DSU PRO is designed as a flexible substation platform intended to connect with external pump and mixing modules, allowing adaptation to different system configurations depending on project requirements.
Is DSU PRO delivered insulated?
The substation is delivered with a cover being at the same time insulation. The cover encapsulates the whole hydronic part of the station, thus reducing heat losses.
