Automatic balancing

Maintaining the right balance in every room

With Danfoss Icon2™ automatic balancing, the system will reduce the ”on” time for the shorter pipes found in small rooms and prioritize the longer pipes found in large rooms, in times where heat demand is high. This ensures all rooms will share the limited energy available in the way that delivers the greatest possible comfort and efficiency.

Smart home compatibility

Danfoss Icon2™ integrates seamlessly with Danfoss Ally™ solutions and can be controlled from anywhere by the Danfoss Ally™ App, so end-users can enjoy all the benefits of a true smart-heating system. Set the temperature to 21°C degrees and that’s exactly what it will deliver.

The Danfoss Ally™ Gateway is the only extra device needed to get cloud connected and gain all the smart heating features on top.

Because Danfoss Icon2™ is built on Zigbee 3.0 protocol, customers can also control their heating with other 3rd party Zigbee based smart home solutions.

Installation has never been easier!

Magnetic mounting

It’s not only the Danfoss Icon2™ controller that is quick and easy to install. The Danfoss Icon2™ solution gives you new opportunities for thermostat placement as well. The wireless thermostats can simply be placed wherever you want them. Just press the small magnet to the wall in the desired position and mount the thermostat on top.

High scalability
Up to 45 room thermostats

Danfoss Icon2™ is designed to meet the demands of large installations, providing reliable and efficient control with high scalability.

With multiple main controllers functionality, the system supports up to four main controllers and as many as 45 thermostats, which can all be connected wirelessly for a streamlined setup. Once installed, all configuration and troubleshooting can be handled from the Icon2 Commissioning App, saving time by reducing the need for installers to move between rooms during both commissioning and ongoing maintenance.

With its high scalability and efficient centralized control, Icon2™ is ideally suited for large installations with extensive square footage and multiple manifolds.

The wireless thermostats have a depth of only 16 mm, making them suitable for any room. They are easily mounted with magnets, and the new touch display ensures improved response. The screen automatically turns off, and it comes with a built-in humidity sensor. 

The thermostats can be integrated into all open Zigbee systems, making them flexible and compatible with various smart home solutions.

Cybersecurity requirements for the RED DA directive – Danfoss Icon2™ is ready

From 1 August 2025, new cybersecurity requirements will come into effect for RED – Radio Equipment Directive 2014/53/EU, including RED DA 2022/30, which ensures that radio and wireless equipment is safe, does not interfere with other equipment, and protects data and networks.

The new requirements mean that products must protect networks from misuse, secure personal data and privacy, and prevent digital fraud.

Danfoss Icon2™ floor heating is fully RED DA approved.
