How it works
The Leanheat® Network application suite consists of a basic UI interfacing to several different data sources that contain the required information to build models from GIS data and run online operations via SCADA.
The Leanheat® Network system is scalable,
which allows for running as a stand-alone
system for simple design setup; or running as a more advanced online system using a server to run the cyclic operations interfacing, for example to a SCADA system.
The hydraulic and thermal model: All network simulations are based on a model of the actual physical network. Leanheat® Network uses the following (multiple) elements for model creation: heat plant object, pipe object, including support for twin pipes, node object, pump and valve objects, including shut-off vales, accumulators, heat exchangers, shunts, and heaters.

Heat demand forecasting for district heating networks
HeatFor™ is a software system for forecasting of heat demand in district heating systems. HeatFor™ is a self-learning and self-calibrating system. It is based on machine learning, weather forecasts, historical demand, and online measurements in order to automatically produce very accurate heat demand forecasts.

Temperature optimization for district heating networks
HeatTO™ is a software system for temperature optimization of district heating networks. HeatTO™ uses heat demand forecasts and online measurements from the heating network to control the supply temperature, such that heat losses, heat costs and CO2 emissions are reduced while security of supply is increased at the same time.
