Marine and Offshore ADC

Marine and Offshore ADC

The Marine Application Development Center is equipped with testing units and demo units of VACON® NXP Common DC Bus with active front-end. This includes a 45-kW-motor load test bench for regenerative applications, and multiple VACON® NXP drives for drive sync applications, generator synchronizing and load sharing.

A power-conversion-technology test bench with battery system is available for testing and demonstrating energy storage and grid converter applications for hybrid propulsion systems, and ship-to-shore power supply.

Marine ADCs are located in the Netherlands and Singapore, and deliver application expertise to marine and offshore customers located globally.

The Marine Competence Center from the outside

Marine Competence Center

Maritime transport emits more than 900 million tons of CO2 annually and is responsible for approximately 2.5 percent of global greenhouse gas emissions, and we believe that we can do better. Electrification in the marine industry is the way forward and we are here to help you achieve your marine electrification goals.

We are proud to have extensive knowledge within not only the maritime industry, but also electrification. At our Danfoss Marine Competence Center in Norway, we offer tailor-made knowledge-sharing, hands-on training sessions, and on-demand requests from our customers. Here you can boost your application competence in grid converters, DC/DC converters, generators, commissioning, troubleshooting, and more. Both in-person or on-demand training is available.
