NORDBORG, Denmark – Danfoss Power Solutions’ Thorx CLM 5 C Cam Lobe Motor has been named the winner in the Fluid Power category of the 2026 Top New Products award from OEM Off-Highway. The annual awards program, now in its 18th year, highlights the ingenuity of today’s design teams and showcases the innovation behind some of the latest product launches in the mobile on- and off-road equipment manufacturing space.
Designed for drum drives on road rollers and other compaction equipment, the Thorx CLM 5 C Cam Lobe Motor delivers improved efficiency, performance, and durability in a compact package. The motor features a robust bearing arrangement that eliminates shaft deflection, and thereby hydraulic oil leakage, while extending component life. Its balanced rotary group reduces low-speed ripple by up to 90%, enabling smoother rotation for improved road finishing.
The Thorx CLM 5 C motor achieves total efficiency of 92%, reducing heat generation and helping extend the service life of seals, bearings, and other components. An integral multi-disc parking brake provides reliable emergency braking performance while maintaining a compact envelope. The motor is also interchangeable with other drum drive cam lobe motors commonly used in the market, simplifying integration and offering customers greater supply chain flexibility.
