Build tailored automation sequences directly within the drive using the Logic feature inside the MyDrive® Insight software tool, increasing application flexibility without an external PLC. The Logic feature supports multiple states - More factory-installed fieldbus protocols
Seamlessly integrate into your control architecture with a wider range of pre-installed fieldbus licenses, including EtherCAT, Modbus TCP, PROFINET RT, and EtherNet/IP. Simply activate these fieldbus protocols when required, with no need for hardware retrofit in the field. For even more connectivity, add OPC UA on top.

5. Extended PROFIsafe functionality for all power sizes
The "+BEF2" option, enabling PROFIsafe and Safe Stop 1 (SS1-t) functional safety, is now available for all power sizes. This option allows you to implement certified, scalable safety functions for any application
6. Expanded voltage and power range
Low-harmonic and regenerative AFE and Inverter system modules (Frames 10 and 11) are now available in voltage class 07 (525–690 V AC) covering a power range of 250-4500 kW. This expansion gives you greater flexibility and more choices for high-power applications, enabling you to leverage the advanced capabilities of the iC7-Automation platform in a wider range of electrical environments
7. Emergency stop cabinet option
For iC7-Automation enclosed drives, the new +ILSS option provides an integrated emergency stop button directly on the cabinet. This feature ensures a local, easily accessible method for safely stopping the drive in an emergency, enhancing personnel safety and simplifying installation
