Breaking new ground — Haiyan ADC will be a beacon of innovation in China

Thursday, August 30, 2018

Since 2011, Danfoss has launched three Application Development Centers (ADC) around the world with the vision to help our customers accelerate their business in a collaborative testing environment. These facilities provide lab capacity, so OEMs and Danfoss engineers can work side-by-side to discover new insights and share industry-leading application knowledge with each other.

The first ADC was launched in Nordborg, Denmark, followed quickly by new ones in India and the United States. On August 23rd, Danfoss broke ground on our fourth ADC in Haiyan, China,  demonstrating our firm commitment to the Chinese market and our local customers.

This new ADC will be a beacon of innovation in the southeast, enabling us to partner with even more customers and help them improve their products. As a result of these new collaborative ventures, their cooling applications are going to become more efficient, compact, and climate-friendly.

At the same time, the Danfoss team celebrated the launch of our new world-class Heat Exchanger production line in Haiyan with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Danfoss executives, business partners, local government officials, and customers attended both events.

"Today is a very important milestone for us," said Arthur Xu, Vice President of China and the head of Cooling China Sales & Marketing, in his opening speech. "With the new Danfoss ADC, we will be able to provide our partners with industry-leading application knowledge and advanced lab facilities, thereby enabling them to develop future-proof solutions for the market. The new world-class heat exchanger product line is another proof of our strong focus on increasing customer value through top product quality and excellence in on-time delivery."

During the ceremony, Senior Director of Danfoss Cooling Global Applications Stefan Pietrek, held aloft the shovel that has been used since 1958 to break ground for new Danfoss buildings. Danfoss Cooling President Jurgen Fischer then used it to turn over the first piece of sod, officially kicking off a new era of innovation and investment in China.
