Code of Conduct

The Danfoss Code of Conduct for Suppliers defines our environmental and social requirements and it is a prerequisite for all suppliers to sign the Code of Conduct, and we perform regular supplier audits to verify compliance.

Supplier risk assessment forms the basis for measures taken with the individual supplier. The risk assessment model includes the location of the supplier, which ensures that the highest priority is given to suppliers in the areas that pose the greatest risk of non-compliance.

Product compliance

The Danfoss Product Compliance Program is integrated into our management systems, relying on regulatory foresight, robust data, and effective supply chain communication. This integration enables us to produce safe and sustainable products meeting compliance obligations to our customers and regulators.

Green ASK program

The Danfoss Green Ask Program is our initiative to engage and collaborate with suppliers to reduce CO2 emissions and enhance sustainability practices.

Through the program, we work with suppliers to provide transparent, verifiable data on their carbon footprint (Scope 1, 2, and 3), set Co2 reduction targets, and explore green levers such as using recycled materials, green energy, and improving energy efficiency. This collaboration is essential as the biggest part of our carbon footprint comes from our supply chain.

Digital quality tools

Danfoss' SAP Quality Issue Resolution system (using the 8D methodology) will provide suppliers with free cloud access to a collaborative problem-solving portal. Suppliers will receive automatic alerts for new requests, enabling shared communication and attachments. A Supplier Administrator must be invited by a Danfoss Category Manager for access. This administrator can then onboard additional users. Training materials are available at Qira after account activation.

Safety requirements for external parties

Contractors performing work at a Danfoss site must comply with our safety requirements, summarized in the document below. We expect that contractors are familiar with our requirements before entering a Danfoss location.

Forms for supplier quality manual

The following are the forms referred to from the Supplier Quality Manual and Framework Agreement, containing the required information. 

In case of agreement with Danfoss to use its own form, the supplier is obligated to ensure that they contain all required information. 

Invoice instructions

Supply Network Collaboration (SNC) is a web-based collaboration platform through which we can provide our direct material suppliers with order and forecasting information. 

The platform enables our suppliers to access our orders, Advanced Shipping Notification (ASN), Evaluated Receipts Settlements (ERS), Electronic data interchange (EDI), Supply Network Collaboration (SNC) and goods receipt dates as well as purchase order history.

E-sourcing

Danfoss uses SAP Ariba to conduct a variety of e-sourcing activities, and as a supplier you can receive invitations to participate in a RFI, RFP or Auction.

SAP Ariba e-sourcing is used to offer our suppliers the opportunity to bid and compete fairly for Danfoss business.

Danfoss uses SAP Ariba to support the entire sourcing process. The tool provides an online portal that allows purchasers and suppliers to collaborate on e-sourcing activities.

The e-sourcing tool enables the sourcing process to be safe and transparent. It allows for a precise evaluation process with clearly defined requirements, and forms the basis for ensuring a competitive and fair environment for all suppliers.
