Precise operation and long service life
In the Danfoss range of thermostatic expansion valves you can find the product to match your needs, no matter what refrigeration solution you are looking for. The valves are optimized for a variety of refrigerants and operating ranges with fixed or adjustable superheat settings and many connection options.
With Danfoss thermostatic expansion valves, you can expect precise operation and long service life of your refrigeration system. The valves control the injection of liquid refrigerant into evaporators and protect the compressor motor against liquid refrigerant.
The thermostatic expansion valve allows you to keep a constant superheat (or refrigerant level) at varying load situations in the refrigeration system to save energy.
Features and benefits
Adjustable and non-adjustable superheat setting designs
High MOPD and working pressure
Can be supplied with Maximum Operating Pressure (MOP) charge which protects the compressor motor against excessive evaporating pressure during normal operation
Achieve the highest precision flow control - regardless of the system conditions
Danfoss’ range of Thermostatic Expansion Valves are designed to ensure a precise control of the injection of refrigerant liquid into evaporators. They also protect the compressor motor against liquid refrigerant entering it.

The truth is Cool(selector®2)
Coolselector®2 features unbiased calculations for the selection of refrigeration and air conditioning components based on the user’s requirements or based on standard operating conditions.
T2/TE2 thermostatic expansion valves, exchangeable orifice
T2/TE2 thermostatic expansion valves are used for liquid injection into evaporators on both refrigeration and air conditioning systems using fluorinated refrigerants. T2/TE2 is supplied with an interchangeable orifice assembly for easy stocking and service.
TD 1 thermostatic expansion valves, fixed orifice
TD1 / TDE 1 is a thermostatic expansion valve designed to regulate liquid injection into evaporators with smaller capacities in refrigeration, heat pump and air conditioning systems. The liquid injection depends on the refrigerant superheat at the evaporator outlet, where the bulb must be placed.
TE 5-55 thermostatic expansion valves, exchangeable orifice
TE 5-55 thermostatic expansion valves are used for liquid injection into evaporators on both refrigeration and air conditioning systems using fluorinated refrigerants.
TGE thermostatic expansion valves, fixed orifice
TGE is an innovatively designed series of thermostatic expansion valves for fluorinated refrigerants. TGE has copper connections upgraded to high-pressure applications for hermetically tight soldering, and is available with a wide variety of connection types and sizes.
TR 6 thermostatic expansion valves, fixed orifice
TR 6 thermostatic expansion valves have been designed and developed with features especially for use in applications such as residential air conditioning systems, split systems, roof top units, heat pumps, light commercial air conditioning systems and chillers. The hermetic tight design meets environmental demands for today and the future. The TR 6 program is available for R22 and R410A, and models for other refrigerants can be produced to order.
