Storage/Charging systems are suitable solutions for hospitals, sports arenas, hotels, apartment blocks and similar large buildings. The product range covers storage and charge systems which all combine the demand for high-performance, comfort, hygiene and resource-efficient operation. The systems can be combined with a second or multiple DHW storage tanks for optimum tailoring to on-site conditions, available with ready-to-mount piping.
Water of the desired temperature flows from the top of the tank to the domestic hot water system when the tapping points are open. At the same time cold water flows to the storage water heater from the bottom. The pump installed in the unit circulates water through the heat exchanger where water heats up to the predefined temperature.When the hot water demand is low the storage tank is charged. After reaching the required water temperature in the tank, the unit is ready for the pick load - simultaneous consumption of hot water from several tapping points.After discharging the tank and when the pick load finishes the storage tank can get charged again. In case a prolonged high hot water demand takes place, the heat exchanger secures the continuous flow of water having sufficient temperature.
Storage Charging System - Due to the high-efficiency heating surface of the plate heat exchanger, the ThermoDual® or Termix BL systems obtain low return temperatures in the total operating sequence of a storage recharge, thereby resulting in reduced required volume flow rate. This means economical operation and makes the systems highly suited for application in district heating networks as well as in connection with condensing boilers.
Anti-legionella System - The Danfoss domestic hot water system ThermoClean® provides an additional effective solution for legionella-free domestic hot water production. ThermoClean® systems operate according to the principles of thermal disinfection, ensuring that the reaction temperature in the system is maintained at a constant temperature of 70°C. This provides effective protection against legionella bacteria in the domestic hot water system.
