Self-limiting heating cables are designed with a temperature-dependent resistant element between two parallel copper bus wires. When the bus wires are connected to the mains, a current goes through the temperature-dependent resistant element which will then heat. As the element is heated, the resistance value rises causing the current to decline and heating is reduced. This explains the self-limiting effect.
The DEVIiceguard™ / ECiceguard is ready-made self-limiting parallel heating cable that is used for melting ice and snow on roofs, gutters, and downpipes (UV-resistant). The heating cable is flexible and easy to install as it can be cut to length at site and installed directly on to the roof and gutter system.Applications:Roofs, gutters, downpipes, drain lines
The DEVIpipeguard™ / ECpipeguard is a self-limiting heating cable that is mainly used for frost protection of pipes. The cable will maintain its functionality even when shortened. The outer sheath is highly resistant to harsh environmental conditions and corrosion and it also serves as a protection against mechanical influences. The cables are not approved for use in drinking water.Applications:Pipe frost protectionTank frost protectionSprinkler systems
The DEVIpipeheat™ V2/ ECpipeheat 10 V2 is a self-limiting heating cable that is mainly used for frost protection of pipes. The self-limiting capability of the cable ensures that the output of the cable increases or decreases according to ambient temperature. The heating cables can be installed outside water pipes.Applications:Pipe frost protection
The DEVIpipeheat™ V3 is a self-limiting heating cable approved for drinking water use and inside pipe installation in certified countries. The self-limiting capability of the cable ensures that the output increases or decreases according to ambient temperature. Applications:• Pipe frost protection
The DEVIpipeguard™ LSZH is a halogen-free self-limiting heating cable with improved quality and enhanced technical characteristics. It is covered by a product warranty of 10 years.
Applications:• Pipe frost protection• Tank frost protection• Sprinkler systems during winter

The Plugin supports your engineering and design journey by making your work faster due to simple functionalities in calculating all lengths, dimensions and product data of cables and mats. It covers all applications within Electric Heating projects: Electric floor heating, Ice & Snow melting systems, Pipe tracing, Cold stores, Sport fields, Vineyards etc.By utilizing Plugin, you will reduce design time for the project, provide all necessary information for installers in HTML/PDF format: BoM, resistance value check list, warranty list format. It means all project information can be consolidated in one file.
Plugin can be used with AutoCAD 2017-2023.
At Danfoss, it is important for us to deliver high-quality products with long-lasting effects. Should you, against all expectations, experience a problem with your product, Danfoss offers a warranty for electric heating products valid from the date of purchase that was no later than 2 years from production date. Depending on the product, the product guarantee is valid for two years, five years, or twenty years. Product warranty covers costs for:
Electric heating for the immersed tunnel in Norway.
The Bjørvika Tunnel is a motorway immersed on European Route E18 in the city center of Oslo. The tunnel links Festning tunnel in Oslo west with Ekeberg tunnel in Oslo east. The completed tunnel has an unbroken length of six kilometers. The Bjørvika Tunnel is the first immersed tunnel in Norway.
The Örebro Castle is a medieval castle fortification situated in the scenic region of Närke, Sweden. The castle lies on an island by the river Svartån. The oldest part of the castle, a defense tower, was erected in the latter half of the 13th century, but its present appearance, the Örebro Castle, was constructed over the last century. Since 1935, the castle has been a national Swedish monument.
Ice and snow melting systems are used in various applications in parking lots, garages, stairs, pavements, and other ground-level surfaces. They secure personal safety in hazardous winter conditions. Our systems can be installed on roofs, in gutters, pavements, and many more areas in and around the house. There is a wide range of products available such as cables or heating mats, specialized controllers, and mounting accessories. And you can count on us for knowledgeable support and service.
During winter time it can be hazardous to access commercial or public buildings. Snow covered parking lots, garage ramps, stairs and pavements need to be cleaned to allow visitors safe access. Danfoss offers highly effective frost and snow protection systems including all necessary products such as electric heating cables or mats, controllers, sensors and mounting accessories.
