Application Engineering

Application Engineer

Application engineering means improving and expanding the capabilities of our drives in close collaborations with customers. This includes both the core and generic functionalities as well as customized solutions tailored to specific needs. At Danfoss Drives, we have several roles working with application engineering e.g., software engineer, control engineer and software architect.

Tools and languages

Our application development is done mainly in model-based design based on MATLAB Simulink. But developers also work with (embedded) C and C++, as well as Python for testing and various build and debugging environments.

Our infrastructure is based around Azure cloud and GIT. All our developers will work across these technologies and are expected to be able to handle most aspects of software development from code to successful build and integration.

Methodologies

At Danfoss Drives, we practice agile principles and our developers take responsibility for their tasks and all aspects of the product software. This is done as part of product focused multi-disciplinary teams.
