Our mission is to lead, guide and support an ecosystem in which power electronics form the basis for developing intelligent, sustainable and cost-effective, fossil-free solutions for electric energy transition. Are you the missing piece in the puzzle? Can you help us achieve ambitious goals?
The Fossil Free Future program is driven by the Intelligent Power Electronics Ecosystem, in which we partner with companies with suitable expertise to implement and execute research and development projects in our three focus areas. We also aim to find different research partners to build an even stronger collaboration – having the latest research knowledge available is vital for the success of the ecosystem.
The ecosystem will focus on building charging and energy storage solutions, and enabling OEMs to connect to the grid – all to significantly increase energy efficiency, reduce energy consumption, and optimize the use of energy. What Danfoss brings to the table is energy conversion and systems expertise, and a component and system supplier perspective. Our specialty is improving the efficiency of mobile equipment.

We look forward to growing the ecosystem with new and existing international partners who share our values and want to explore and develop new fossil-free solutions for the electrification of energy transition. In the ecosystem, the responsibilities will be shared between different parties.
Partners we are looking for
- For the development and expansion of charger and energy storage infrastructure, we are looking to partner with charger and energy storage OEMs. These ecosystem partners will be responsible for developing charger and energy storage infrastructure, and Danfoss will develop the converters and components for power conversion.
- For the electrification of mobile work equipment, we are looking for machine and component manufacturers to join the ecosystem. These partners will be responsible for the development of the equipment, and Danfoss will develop the components and electric drivetrain systems.
- For the promotion and utilization of electrolysis processes, we are interested in partnering with leading companies that are actively initiating electrolysis projects. These partners will be responsible for expertise in electrolysis technologies and plants, and Danfoss will develop the power electronics to enable the safe and efficient production of hydrogen.
