Product manufacturing takes place in Danfoss-owned factories, adhering to the highest security standards. This ensures that the design remains protected and cannot be manipulated within the firmware.
In most installations, Security Level 1 (SL1) offers an optimal balance between reducing risk exposure of the drives and maintaining usability for commissioning and service situations. VLT® drives are equipped with the capability to enable SL1 through advanced firmware. They are certified according to IEC 62443-4-2, which outlines the technical requirements for components at SL1.

Use the PC software tool VLT® Motion Control Tool MCT 10 to effortlessly configure and manage your installations, to enhance operational efficiency with confidence in cybersecurity.
Our cybersecure access strategy puts you in control:
- Set up advanced roles and access levels to limit which personnel are permitted to manage and modify the variable speed drive operations
- Specify which parameters are accessible for viewing or change, for individual roles at each access level
- Get comprehensive verification of user access: Every login via the cybersecure access is meticulously logged in the memory of the drive, for easy reporting

SL1-certified premium drives

The VLT® AutomationDrive FC 301 / FC 302 is designed for variable speed control of all asynchronous motors and permanent magnet motors. It comes in a standard version (FC 301) and an advanced high dynamic version (FC 302) with additional functionalities.
Thanks to its rugged design, the FCD302 drive can be mounted close to motors in demanding applications.
