NORDBORG, DENMARK — Danfoss Power Solutions today announced the launch of its Aeroquip® by Danfoss DataCryo DC394 hose, a high-performance channeled hose designed specifically for data center liquid cooling systems. With its exceptional flexibility and robust construction, DC394 hose offers quick, simple installation and reliable, leak-free operation.
As AI, cloud computing, and high-density servers continue to push thermal limits, liquid cooling source lines must deliver higher flow rates, driven by larger diameters to meet next-generation performance demands.
When used for large-diameter liquid cooling source lines, conventional hoses can create challenges in terms of installation and long-term reliability. As hose size increases, bending force rises, routing becomes more difficult, and the risk of kinking grows. Aeroquip by Danfoss DataCryo DC394 hose addresses these concerns.
The hose features an engineered channeled construction that delivers low bending force, exceptional flexibility, and strong kink resistance. Its one-to-one ratio bend radius offers greater flexibility than alternative channeled hoses for data centers. This enables the hose to be routed more easily, even in narrow or complex system layouts, resulting in faster and easier installation and maintenance. The channeled construction also reduces the risk of kink-related flow restrictions and resulting impacts to efficiency. The hose’s low coefficient of friction offers improved pressure drop, further supporting overall liquid cooling system efficiency.
DC394 hose is constructed with a peroxide-cured EPDM rubber inner tube and cover engineered for fluid purity, thermal resistance, and reliable sealing. Its 100% sulfur-free construction reduces the risk of corrosion in the liquid cooling system, which can compromise reliability. The specially compounded cover with a 100% halogen-free formulation is UL 94 V-0 rated for fire resistance, enabling the hose to meet the higher safety expectations associated with critical cooling infrastructure while reducing environmental impact.
DC394 hose joins Danfoss’ other data center hoses in the new Aeroquip by Danfoss DataCryo line. Unifying all existing and future Danfoss hoses for data centers under this new name simplifies and streamlines product selection. The rebranding includes the new name as well as a new layline and part numbering system.
“The Aeroquip name has been synonymous with quality and innovation in the fluid power industry for over 80 years. Our Aeroquip by Danfoss DataCryo hose line continues this legacy, delivering the reliability and performance that customers have trusted for decades, now tailored for the future of data and computing,” said Salih Karayagiz, Global Product Manager, Data Center Hose and Fittings, Danfoss Power Solutions. “With DC394 and the full line of DataCryo hoses, we are sharpening our focus on the unique challenges of the data center industry and accelerating the development of high-performance, precision-engineered solutions for advanced liquid cooling applications.”
Aeroquip by Danfoss DataCryo DC394 hose is available in size -16 through -64 (inner diameter of 1 to 4 inches) to support different system architectures and flow requirements. It is available with blue or red laylines for simple identification of supply and return lines. The hose can be combined with approved Danfoss fittings as well as other hoses in the DataCryo portfolio to create a complete system solution, from main supply lines to single-point connections. DC394 hose features a working pressure of 150 psi (10.5 bar) and operating temperature of -40°F to 284°F (-40°C to 140°C).
