Danfoss adds new dimensions to strong brand

Tuesday, May 28, 2019

Danfoss is launching a bold global campaign, opening a new chapter of Danfoss - Engineering Tomorrow brand that communicates Danfoss’s role in building a better future, focusing on megatrends and sustainability.

“With Danfoss growth strategy Going Great well in place it is a natural step for us to add new dimensions to our solid brand platform, Engineering Tomorrow. Danfoss has never been more relevant, providing solutions for the megatrends transforming the world. We want to communicate this explicitly and clearly to our customers, to the politicians and stakeholders, the talents out there looking for the most interesting place to work and to our great employees who walks an extra mile every day,” says Danfoss president and CEO, Kim Fausing.

The Engineering Tomorrow brand platform was launched in 2014 and rolled out successfully. Now, 5 years after launch, Engineering Tomorrow is deeply rooted and supported in Danfoss and internal and external communication.

“We have a strong platform to build on, but we want to constantly keep our story interesting and relevant. So, we have made bold updates to the story and visual assets to reflect the business and the world as it looks today,” says head of Danfoss Group Branding, Mette Munk.

Climate and sustainability are on top of the agenda globally, and Danfoss is in the middle of the green transition happening these years.

“We want to issue a strong statement framing the sustainability challenge by using a young voice.  Also, to leverage the employer branding potential of the initiative. And we want to position engineering – and Danfoss, at the core of the sustainable transformation, by highlighting our key technologies and case studies, creating a strong link to the Megatrends, that makes Danfoss so relevant,” says head of Danfoss Group Branding, Mette Munk.

A central part of the new campaign is a recruitment video addressing the concerns on climate and sustainability expressed by large groups of younger people, but at the same time pointing at possibilities and solutions.

“We want to attract the best talents in all generations - so we want to make a statement that tabs into the agenda of the world today,” says Head of HR at Danfoss, Ilonka Nussbaumer.
