Danfoss spotlights energy-efficient desalination and brine mining solutions at IDRA 2024

Date: 8 - 12 December, 2024

Danfoss at IDRA World Congress 2024

Danfoss experts will be on hand at this year’s IDRA World Congress in Abu Dhabi to showcase energy-efficient pumps and energy recovery devices that can help address water scarcity while supporting decarbonization efforts.

Energy-efficient solutions for water scarcity

The IDRA World Congress gathers global experts in the areas of water reuse, desalination and energy to discuss how we can work together to address global water challenges in a sustainable manner. ā€œThe need for clean water has never been greater, and climate change-induced flooding and droughts are only exacerbating an already critical issue,ā€ says Francisco JimĆ©nez-Castellanos Lucena.

ā€œDesalination by means of seawater reverse osmosis is one of the most effective means of addressing water scarcity, but it is highly energy intensive. At Danfoss, we are committed to reducing the energy cost of reverse osmosis, and at this year’s IDRA we’ll show how our energy-efficient pumps, energy recovery devices and AC drives do that.ā€

Congress attendees can meet with Danfoss experts at booth C-23 to learn more about the company’s product line for desalination and wastewater reuse, including its range of APP high-pressure pumps and iSave energy recovery devices for seawater reverse osmosis plants of all sizes. Booth visitors can also speak with Danfoss representatives about the most energy-efficient way of tackling concrete projects and challenges.
