Join us at ISH 2025 where we're introducing the latest advancements in HVAC technology. Every year, millions of thermostats are discarded and burned, adding to environmental waste. At Danfoss, we took on this challenge and, together with a Danish customer, proved that thermostats can be recycled back into production. At ISH we're showcasing a radiator thermostat made with 85% post-consumer plastics, reducing CO₂ emissions by over 20% – all while maintaining the highest quality standards.
Danfoss modulinQ® is here! Debuting at ISH 2025, this revolutionary modular portfolio is set to change the way residential heat pump systems are assembled and operated. What makes modulinQ® different? — Designed for 3-20 kW heating applications, using R290 refrigerant for maximum efficiency. — Quick Connect System reduces hot work during assembly and enables flame-free servicing. — Includes an ETS 5M electronic expansion valve and two non-return valves, making it compact and bidirectional. — Fully optimized for cost savings, seamless integration, and enhanced serviceability.
Join us at ISH 2025 where we’re showcasing Danfoss’ Icon2™ hydronic floor heating solution. This versatile system works with both wireless and wired room thermostats, offering maximum flexibility and fast installation via a commissioning app that guides installers step by step. Icon2™ seamlessly connects with the Danfoss Ally™ platform, typically used for radiator thermostats. By integrating these systems, homeowners can enjoy full heating control—whether at home or away.

At ISH 2025, Daniel Hiertz introduced the EvoFlat 4.0 PRO—a next-generation flat station designed for seamless heat pump integration. It allows building managers to remotely monitor, control, and maintain their heating systems for maximum efficiency and comfort. With EvoFlat 4.0 PRO, building owners can reduce costs, optimize performance, and enhance resident comfort.
Join us from ISH 2025 as Danfoss explores the transformation of heating with the Bio 100 pump. Since its launch, the industry has moved steadily toward biofuel-ready solutions, driven by regulatory shifts, rising demand for sustainable heating, and a stronger focus on hybrid systems. Despite ongoing market adjustments and concerns about performance and supply, biofuels are gaining momentum through early adopters and growing policy support. Danfoss burner components sees biofuels as a critical bridge to a Net Zero heating future, anticipating wider adoption and more integrated biofuel plant solutions in the years ahead.
At ISH 2025, we showcased two powerful additions to our PICV portfolio, designed to improve the speed, simplicity, and reliability of HVAC installations. The AB-QM 4.0 Flexo is a compact, pre-assembled connection set that makes fan coil unit installation faster and more efficient. Available in multiple configurations (left/right-handed, with or without strainer), each unit is pressure-tested at the factory to ensure performance and ease of use. Also presented is the AB-QM 4.0 CO6 Flexo, a prefabricated solution for four-pipe heating and cooling systems, ideal for radiant panel and chilled beam applications. PICVs simplify system design, enhance room temperature control, reduce pump energy use, and improve system COP, delivering measurable energy savings and comfort.
At ISH 2025, Danfoss welcomed visitors to experience a range of advanced district energy solutions. Here are some of the highlights: VXe SLS—A villa station designed for multifamily houses, featuring one control heating circuit and an integrated storage loading system; Termix Compact 28 VVX-FI—A buffer loading station capable of loading a buffer tank efficiently, controlling two heating circuits, and supporting external domestic hot water systems; and DSE 1 MIDI—A custom welded pipe substation tailored for unique installations, currently used in projects such as in Nuremberg. From standard stations to customized applications, we continue to drive innovation in district heating and energy efficiency.
At ISH 2025 in Frankfurt, Danfoss proudly introduced the newest addition to the Alsmart® platform: the Alsmart® AS-UI04 Display. This latest HMI is launched in two models—wall-mounted and panel-mounted—with identical dimensions but tailored installation formats. And it features a vivid display with 5000–6000 colors, onboard sensors, and broad connectivity, the AS-UI04 Display is designed to enhance control and visualization in hydronic HVAC applications. In the example shown, the system manages both heating and cooling of an ideal room, using NovoCon® and AME 110NLX actuators in combination with the AS-CX06 controller. The Alsmart® platform continues to evolve as a fully programmable solution for smart building control and HVAC optimization.
At ISH 2025, Gaia Balzarini presented a compelling short paper that explores how Building Automation and Control Systems (BACS) are transforming the energy efficiency landscape in Europe’s building sector. Buildings are among the largest energy consumers, and as sustainability goals become more ambitious, the need for intelligent, adaptive solutions is more critical than ever. BACS represents a new generation of smart control systems, seamlessly managing heating, cooling, and ventilation with precision. These systems are designed to adapt to evolving building needs—such as the integration of heat pumps, changes in heating sources, or updates to the building envelope—ensuring continuous optimization, improved comfort, and reduced operating costs. This short paper argues that BACS is more than just an impressive technology—it’s a strategic investment that enhances comfort, supports emission reductions, and helps achieve evolving energy standards.
