Danfoss will showcase its latest innovations for food processing and cold storage at Chillventa with the new NeoCharge® solution being a standout highlight. NeoCharge® reduces energy consumption in ammonia systems by running without superheat and minimizing recirculation, offering up to 15% energy savings and allowing a 40% increase in storage capacity with the same ammonia charge. For industrial systems, Danfoss will present its extensive lineup of CO2 components, promoting sustainable, energy-efficient solutions. The new IPS 8 Air Purger works with propane, which is used for Ammonia refrigeration systems to optimize performance and to cut energy costs. Danfoss will also highlight its industrial heat pumps and process chillers, including the BOCK® HGX56 CO₂ T compressor and Palladio Screw (trusted by Danfoss) and PSG Scroll compressors, which reuse waste heat and improve HVAC efficiency. Additionally, the EKE 400 controller, packaged in a panel, reduces installation costs by 50% while optimizing system design and commissioning.
Shifting perspectives on energy efficiency in HORECA refrigeration
Danfoss will display a wide range of refrigeration solutions for the HORECA sector at this year’s Chillventa , focusing on energy efficiency and the use of low GWP and natural refrigerants. Experts will be available to discuss building of future-ready refrigeration systems, where Danfoss offers a full line-up of solutions. Danfoss will also feature connected solutions like Optyma™ Control and Optyma™ Plus INVERTER, along with IoT and connectivity solutions for monitoring and remote servicing. The IPS 8 (Intelligent Purging System) is designed to remove non-condensable gases from industrial refrigeration systems, enhancing energy efficiency and operational performance. The IPS 8 features Danfoss’ ICF valve stations and the LLS 4000 liquid level sensor to efficiently return condensed ammonia to the refrigeration system. Additionally, Danfoss has introduced a bubbler to prevent ammonia from being released into the air, and an expansion unit that adds eight additional points for larger systems. Now running on natural refrigerant R290 with a low charge of less than 150 grams, the IPS 8 is fully compliant with future industry demands. With embedded logic and full automation, it guarantees a reliable and efficient solution that can be integrated into any SCADA system.
