AB-QM™ Support Hub

AB-QM™ is a pressure independent balancing control valve (PIBCV or PICV) that controls hydronic system flow, to match the load, continuously balancing the system, under pressure changes. The three-in-one design provides:

  • control
  • balance
  • flow limitation

The unique design incorporates a pressure independent control & a differential pressure regulator, that instantly absorbs changing building pressures, constantly balancing, & establishing a high flow limitation through the valve.

AB-QM™ valves can be used in a variety of heating and cooling applications, to help balance and optimize the hydronic system, but it's typically found in:

  • Hot / cold water coils
  • Variable air volume units (VAV)
  • Sensible-cooling terminal units
  • Fan coil units
  • Air handling units (AHU)

AB-QM™ is one of the simplest valves to set & size, as the valve is selected based on flow requirements & piping size, eliminating the need for time consuming Cv calculations & complicated algorithms.

Visit our handy Quick Select Guide, that allows you to quickly find the perfect valve and actuator combination, based on configurable control input options.
