AK-SM 800A software package Release 5.0.x Important readme
Before installing R5,0.x please review important security aspects already included in the last software update (4.3.1) as these remain applicable for R5.0.x.
If your system has already been updated to version 4.x, your security settings will not be modified when updating to 5.0.x. If updating AK-SM800A systems version 3.3 or older, please review important notes below. It is recommended to first update from 3,x to 4.x before finally upgrading to 5.0.x.
As a reminder, System Manager AK-SM 800A software package Release 4.x and above enhances your product's security features and now defaults to a strong security posture called Session Control and when combined with HTTPS improves overall security of your product. After installation of System Manager software package 4.x the unit will reboot and will Immediately default to Strict enforce level.
Before upgrading to R4.x, take a moment to review your current implementation. For instance: check how your AK-SM 800A network is configured, are any 3rd Party XML entities involved?
If you are uncertain about your AK-SM800A's current configuration for Internet / web communications, we strongly recommend performing on-site update only or having personnel on-site or contact Danfoss Technical support for further guidance.
If your AK-SM 800A application is already configured for HTTPS, the remote update will not require any additional manual steps apart from confirming Strict mode.
If your AK-SM 800A application is configured for HTTP, depending on your method of upgrade your remote browser session may be lost. In this event you may need to manually type https in front of your system managers IP / DNS name, in case of any doubt an on-site update is always recommended.
R5.0.x specific readme items
Due to significant updates and modifications in the overall database structure it will not be possible to downgrade from R5.0.x
Fully backup the system database before proceeding with update
SW package 5.0.x requires Danux 4.14.017.194 (AK-SM 800A Series | Danfoss)
After installing 5.0.x any original History data will be parsed into new format (progress shown in history config>status), avoid resetting the unit during this time (Max 3 resets permitted during this process, 4th reset will delete all history not currently parsed)
After update, StoreView Web (SvW) embedded will default as remote user interface (SvB5 remains temporarily available at will be removed in later releases). Connect in the same manner as before using standard Web browser, SvW is now the default remote user interface.
