The Danfoss PTS series are stepper motor staging valves designed to prevent surge in oil-free centrifugal chillers and heat pumps. By quickly opening at startup and releasing pressure at shutdown, PTS valves ensure stable operation, protect the compressor from damage and can reduce startup time to within 5 seconds. Acting as a low-pressure bypass, they enable optimal compressor pressure ratios, improve system efficiency, and enhance reliability in critical applications. PTS staging valves are part of the Danfoss EXO - Extended oil-free program and are optimized for Turbocor® TGx and TTx compressors, offering superior performance in demanding conditions.
