Danfoss will be present with a 150m² booth located at D2b1, demonstrating its commitment to transforming agriculture through technology. The focus will be on autonomy, electrification, productivity, and safety, with new products and solutions aimed at improving efficiency, precision, and sustainability.
Transforming Agriculture: Addressing Challenges with Technology
The agricultural industry faces challenges such as resource scarcity, rising costs, labor shortages, geopolitical instability, and climate change. Science, technology, and research have enabled Brazil to reach high levels of production and exportation of grains, reaffirming agribusiness as a fundamental sector for Brazilian development and positioning Brazil as the world’s leading food supplier.
The transformative effect of the agricultural revolution over the past 40 years is undoubtedly the most significant event in Brazil’s recent economic history, continuing to open prospects for the country’s future development.
The Importance of Agribusiness in the Brazilian Economy
- Population: 5th most populous country with 217 million people.
- Land Use: Of a total area of 850 million hectares, Brazil uses about 30% for agricultural and livestock production.
- Economy: 10th largest economy in the world by GDP.
- Contribution: Agribusiness represents 25% of Brazil’s GDP and 44% of total exports.
- Multinational Presence: Strong, renowned multinational companies operate in the country.
Agribusiness accounted for 25% of Brazil’s GDP in 2022. Less than 10% of Brazilian territory is used as cultivated area, with favorable conditions including abundant water, suitable soil, and good natural light. Despite these advantages, Brazilian agribusiness faces challenges such as rain, droughts, pests, and crop diseases. With the advancement of precision agriculture, Brazilian properties are increasingly equipped and connected, using apps and even drones.
Five Trends in Technology Application in Brazilian Agribusiness
- Use of Sensors
- Drones
- Management Software
- Biotechnology
- Precision Agriculture
Danfoss aims to tackle these challenges using its technologies and expertise to maximize productivity and reduce environmental impact.

Initially focused on Danfoss Series 90 hydrostatic pumps used in the sugarcane industry, this program remanufactures used components, extending their lifespan, reducing waste, and offering a cost-effective solution for our customers. This initiative directly addresses the need for sustainable practices.
- DM-Qt Series of Programmable Displays: Danfoss have recently launched the DM-Qt series, expanding our DM display range. These programmable displays offer greater design flexibility and faster time to market by leveraging Qt, a leading UI framework. The DM-Qt series, available in 7-inch, 10-inch, and 12-inch sizes, features excellent sunlight viewability, automatic brightness adjustment, and a rugged design, making them suitable for diverse applications in South America. A key benefit is the ability to reuse design templates across different platforms, reducing development time and costs.
- X1P (Launching) family of open-circuit piston pumps built on the all-new X1 platform.
Booth highlighting Danfoss National Presence
Danfoss has a strong and well-established presence in Brazil, built on a “local to local” strategy that aligns with South America’s need for increased investment in local manufacturing and technology. Danfoss operate two main manufacturing plants in Brazil, each playing a vital role in meeting regional demands.
- Guaratingueta plant is dedicated to fluid conveyance, manufacturing hydraulic hoses (both braided and spiral) with textile or wire reinforcement, as well as air brake hoses. This plant is equipped with comprehensive laboratory capabilities to ensure the locally manufactured hoses meet stringent quality standards. Furthermore, we have a dedicated assembly line for assembling hoses with fittings, providing complete and reliable hose solutions to our customers.
- Caxias do Sul plant is a cornerstone of our localization efforts, with significant investments to expand its product portfolio. This plant currently produces orbital motors, spool valve solutions, hydrostatics pumps and motors. We continuously evaluate opportunities to localize the production of additional Danfoss products, further enhancing our regional offerings.
Join us at Agrishow 2025 to explore how Danfoss is transforming agriculture with cutting-edge technology and sustainable solutions.
