Product snapshot: Turbocor® TNS385 compressor
The TNS385 represents a new step in high-capacity, energy-efficient cooling, designed for applications where sustainability is critical.
Built on the proven Danfoss Turbocor® architecture, it leverages a foundation known for high efficiency, reliability, long lifespan, and quiet operation.
Its defining feature is the oil-free, magnetic bearing design, which levitates the central shaft, enabling:
- Consistently high efficiency over the lifetime
- No performance degradation
- Ultra-low vibration
- Lower maintenance requirements
Designed for comfort and data center cooling, the TNS385 has a demonstrated cooling capacity of 385 kW (110 TR), targets high-capacity applications and is optimized for use with R600a, a natural refrigerant.
The TNS385 has already undergone extensive testing at Danfoss’ development facilities and is currently being evaluated in real application conditions with a lead customer. These steps are critical in ensuring performance, reliability, and readiness for future commercialization.
Next milestone – Chillventa
