Our focus areas
Our Fossil Free Future program has been granted EUR 10 million in funding in Business Finland's challenge competition for leading companies. We are developing a wide-ranging R&D and innovation ecosystem with new and existing partners.
We drive fossil-free energy transition by researching and developing three focus areas:
Power electronics
Intelligent power electronics are a vital part of Fossil Free Future transition and a critical enabler for electrification and Power-to-X solutions. With intelligent power electronics, energy conversion becomes optimized for innovative electrification systems. This significantly increases energy efficiency, reduces energy consumption, and optimizes use of energy. Energy users get to employ intelligently optimized energy systems. Moreover, intelligent power electronics unlock many new possibilities to vastly improve electrical processes.
With Business Finland funding we can accelerate our investments in green growth areas and together with our partners find new solutions to reducing the usage of fossil fuels. Together with our partners we will be creating the solution and making the world a better place. Our partners will also get lot of new ideas, innovative and creative thinking, new partners and fun by being a member in our ecosystem.
Business Finland is a Finnish public sector organization that provides innovation funding and internationalization services and promotes investments in Finland. Business Finland's challenge competition, in which Danfoss successfully participated, invites leading global companies to become drivers of ecosystems formed by companies of different sizes and other actors. The latest challenge competition took place in 2022 and is largely funded by the EU's recovery fund.
