Tuesday, September 30, 2025

The grand opening of the new plant is a major strategic milestone for Danfoss and our customers in the region.

Danfoss has been manufacturing in Bulgaria since 2000, and this move to a larger facility marks a strategic investment in our operations. Operating out of the new 7,634-square-meter facility will enable us to scale up, innovate faster, and deliver even more energy-efficient products to our markets.

Kristian Strand, President, Danfoss Climate Solutions, emphasized during the opening the strategic importance of the new plant:

“The opening of our new plant in Sofia is a testament to our continued commitment to invest in strategic growth markets, innovative technologies, as well as a strong, agile regional manufacturing footprint in line with our new LEAP 2030 strategy. It enhances our ability to deliver innovative, competitive, and sustainable solutions to our customers, and reflects the dedication and passion of our teams who made this possible.”

This new facility includes:
•    6,000 m² of state-of-the-art production and warehouse space
•    1,634 m² of modern office and social areas, thoughtfully designed for our people

“This isn’t just a bigger building,” said Jing Jorgensen, Vice President, Building Solutions, HydronicS, Danfoss Climate Solutions. “This is a leap forward in capacity, efficiency, and quality. It’s where we’re manufacturing key products like actuators, valves, and mixing shunts – the solutions our customers rely on every single day.”

Plamen Tsvetkov, Danfoss’ Director of Operations Sofia, shared his personal reflection:
“I’ve dreamed of this moment for many years, and today I am truly happy to see that dream come true. This move is not just a physical relocation. It’s a powerful step forward in our commitment to a better future.”

The team in Sofia is ready to take on new challenges and continue delivering excellence to customers:
