- Application of new technologies for energy savings in desalination: With the launch of the new MPE 70, active energy recovery is finally available for large and mid-size SWRO plants. In addition to reducing energy consumption, the motor-powered pressure exchanger also solves many of the problems inherent in passive ERDs.
- Axial piston pumps vs Centrifugal pumps – Implications for energy efficient operations: Axial piston pumps deliver high pressure with less energy than centrifugal pumps. But in addition to saving significant amounts of electricity and CO2 over the lifetime of an SWRO plant, they also simplify maintenance and improve automation.
