Water Philippines 2019, Pasay City, Manila, Philippines

Date: 20 - 22 March, 2019
Location: Pasay City, Manila, Philippines

The event takes place 20-22 March in Pasay Citi, Philippines. Danfoss will be present on booth P48

According to the UN, water scarcity is one of the major challenges facing the world today and tomorrow. Water is vital for life. Shortage of fresh water has spurred innovation to find efficient and climate-friendly solutions that turn seawater into fresh, clean water.

Reverse osmosis is the leading technology. It is simple, reliable and requires less energy than other desalination techniques.

Danfoss offers core technologies for the desalination industry, which comprise, high-pressure pumps, energy-recovery devices and AC drives. These combine into highly efficient, cost-effective, and lasting water purification solutions, that return energy savings up to 65% compared to centrifugal pump systems without energy-recovery devices and drives.

High-pressure pumps, energy recovery devices (ERDs) and AC drives are used in many different SWRO applications. The product portfolio from Danfoss offers a wide range of pumps, ERDs and AC drives ideal for supplying hotels, resorts, ships and offshore facilities with clean water. The solutions can be for small, containerized units or large trains of parallel-coupled pumps and ERDs.

All products are extremely energy efficient. They are simple to operate and offer minimal service and long service intervals.

High-pressure pumps for ZLD/MLD industrial wastewater treatment

Substantial amounts of fresh water are consumed in modern society and all too often poorly treated industrial wastewater is discharged into the environment. To improve the reuse of water and reduce the discharge of industrial wastewater, Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) and Minimal Liquid Discharge (MLD) have emerged as highly efficient wastewater treatment processes.

Reverse osmosis is one of the most energy efficient processes being used to treat industrial wastewater.  For this process membranes and high-pressure pumps that can operate with pressure up to 120 bar are needed. With the new released APP W HC high-pressure pump from Danfoss, professionals now have access to a reliable and high-efficient pump that meets the requirements of the membrane-based process.

The pump operates with pressures up to 120 bar with efficiency rates up to 90% at all operating points. It has a simple design, which allows easy installation, inspection and maintenance.
