TR 6 thermostatic expansion valves are designed and developed for ducted split (US residential) air conditioning and light commercial air conditioning systems. With the TR 6 you get a hermetically tight design which meets the environmental demands of today and tomorrow and can be used for all fluorinated refrigerants.
The TR 6 design incorporates a hot-pressed brass body with the entire power element, including the capillary tube and bulb, fabricated from stainless steel. The valve is supplied as standard in straightway version with fixed orifice and external equalization.
The valve can be delivered with or without internal check valve and with an external superheat adjustment spindle for field retrofit. The TR 6 valve has a balanced port design to reduce the influence from varying condensing pressures.
What makes the Universal TR6 stand out is its ability to handle both traditional refrigerants like R-410A, which are still commonly used in older systems, and new low-GWP (Global Warming Potential) refrigerants such as R-454B and R-32, which are gaining traction in response to environmental regulations.
Compact size, hermetic design
Laser-welded power element for long service life and high pressure tolerance
Stainless steel capillary tube, for easy installation and vibration resistance
Adjustable or non-adjustable superheat for customer specific factory setting
Solder or mechanical connections
Broad refrigerant compatibility
UL certified
