The first and biggest integrated trade and logistics mall in the world, located in the Xin Jiang Province in China will be equipped with Haier’s maglev central air-conditioning units and Danfoss Turbocor® compressors.
March 21st, which corresponds to February 2nd in the lunar calendar, is the traditional Chinese festival “Dragon Heads-Raising Day” which means the beginning of a new round of vitality and fortune in new lunar year. On that day, Danfoss received good news:The 1st order of over 100M RMB of maglev central air-conditioning units in the world was won by Haier; and Danfoss Turbocor® Compressors will be applied in the system. The related project is the first and biggest integrated trade and logistics mall in the Xin Jiang Province in China, called “Hami Baonong Trade Mall”.
The trade mall gathers several functions in one, such as building-materials trade, commerce, shopping, exhibitions, traveling and entertainment. It’s financed by the Municipal Government of Hami in order to strengthen the supervision and management of the building-material trade market and to develop the recycling economy. The total investment of the project is 1.2 billion RMB and the mall will cover an area of 388,000 square meters. The project locates in a village in the Hami city, in which the issues of agriculture, farmers and rural areas are expected to be relieved effectively and where the construction of the city business circle are estimated to accelerate after the mall’s completion. The building of the mall is intended to positively impact the local economic development, social employment, traffic management and environmental protection.
Danfoss brought the magnetic bearing and oil-free technology into the XinJiang Province several years ago, applying the TT compressors in chillers of an overseas food production company in Ili. Based on the opportunity of the trade mall in Hami, Danfoss hopes to further promote the green and cutting-edge technology in Xinjiang and further contribute to the "Western Development Strategy" that has been implemented by Chinese Central Government since 1999.
Danfoss Turbocor® compressors utilize magnetic-bearing oil free technology and integrated variable speed technology with drive control. This enables the air conditioning unit to save up to 50% energy compared with traditional fixed-speed chillers. The new family member of Turbocor® compressors, VTT series, with larger cooling capacity (200-350 tons) will be launched in the Chinese market in the near future, providing more choices for the OEMS and end users in the market.
