X-Gate
Danfoss X-Gate is the new flexible gateway solution, used at field level to translate data from one protocol to another with the goal to enable the integration of the devices present in the installation. Protocols supported are:
- Modbus RTU or TCP/IP
- BACnet MS/TP or IP
- CAN Bus
Main use-cases for X-Gate are the following:
- Integration of 3rd party devices into the System Manager 800A
- Integration of the System Manager 800A into a general BMS
- Integration of the Danfoss’ devices into a general BMS
X-Gate provides a user-friendly web interface for the full system configuration respecting access control via account & password and user profile.
Integration
X-Gate is an advanced Linux based device with the capability to read data over a specific protocol and make these data available over a different protocol.
The unit can be easily installed into an electrical panel thanks to the DIN-rail mounting design.
Friendly web-user interface is available for the complete system configuration and maintenance over the lifetime of the product.
X-Gate has been designed as a modular concept:
- X-Gate: the main board with code: 080G0342
- Expansion: the extra RS485 with code: 080G0343
On the main board:
- x2 independent ethernet cards
- x1 RS485 port
- x1 CAN bus port
On the Expansion:
- x1 RS485 port
The expansion module, mechanically fit-in with the main X-Gate board and both can be easily accommodated into a standard DIN-rail bar.
X-Gate provides northbound integration for the System Manager 800A into standard Building Management System (BMS).
X-Gate directly reads the data via XML protocol from the System Manager 800A and expose the data via Modbus or BACnet protocols.
