S-series scroll compressors

Quiet and reliable in part- and full-load systems

Danfoss S-series scroll compressors are designed to serve as quick, easy replacements for most commercial air conditioning scroll compressors. These compressors come with a an identical bolt pattern, suction and discharge line positions, and performance characteristics that match up directly with the majority of competitor compressors. With a wide application envelope, S-series compressors suit numerous applications such as rooftops, chillers or process cooling, reducing the number of items needed to be kept in inventory.

By addressing many of the complex challenges that customers face in extending their system capacities when using multiple scroll compressors, S-series compressors are ideal for manifolding. Our safe compressor operations with static and dynamic manifold piping design offers best-in-class performance under both full-load and part-load conditions. Each compressor is equipped with an oil equalization connector and oil sight glass rendering it ready for use in single, tandem, or trio configuration with no additional cost.

Features and benefits

Low-friction design minimizes noise and maximizes efficiency

Internal non-return valve prevents refrigerant migration from high-pressure side

Lead-free polymer bearings improve behavior under poor lubrication conditions

Standard oil sight glass and oil equalizer enable easy manifolding
