Engineered to higher standards with certified supply chain excellence
Danfoss is fully committed to supporting our partners with clear, trustworthy guidance on Build America, Buy America (BABA) and NEMA Make It American™ compliance. Our U.S. based manufacturing facilities in Loves Park, Illinois, and Milwaukee, Wisconsin, are officially certified under NEMA’s Make It American™ program, validating that our processes for evaluating and documenting domestic content meet rigorous federal standards.
While BABA compliance is determined on a product-by-product basis, this certification affirms the strength and reliability of our compliance framework and reinforces our leadership in U.S. manufacturing.

What is BABA?
The Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA), enacted in 2021, introduced the Build America, Buy America (BABA) requirements to strengthen domestic manufacturing and supply chains. These provisions apply to projects that receive federal funding under the IIJA and are intended to ensure that all the funds support products made in the United States.
For manufactured products to comply with BABA, manufactured goods must meet specific domestic content standards. To qualify, the final product must be manufactured in the United States, and more than 55% of the total cost of its components must be attributable to components produced in the United States.
Important notice: BABA is separate from other federal domestic sourcing laws, including the Buy American Act, as well as domestic preference provisions associated with the CHIPS and Science Act and the Inflation Reduction Act. Each statute has its own compliance standards and definitions. Before making purchasing decisions, customers should review the specific funding terms and contract requirements applicable to their project.

NEMA’s “Make It American™” certification validates the reliable compliance‑evaluation systems used at our Loves Park and Milwaukee facilities, giving customers confidence in the consistency and integrity of our process.
