Tallahassee visit showcased Danfoss’ growth, innovation, and investment in the U.S.
On November 4, Danfoss was honored to host a delegation of 20 ambassadors from the European Union (EU) member states at its Turbocor facility in Tallahassee, Fla., underscoring the company’s role as a global leader in sustainable cooling innovation and a committed investor in the local community. The visit was led by Jesper Moller Sorensen, Ambassador of Denmark to the U.S. Denmark currently holds the presidency of the EU27. The visit offered the ambassadors an inside look at how Danfoss is supporting U.S. growth — particularly in the rapidly expanding data center sector, where demand for high-efficiency cooling is surging due to the rise of artificial intelligence and digital infrastructure.
“Data centers are one of the fastest-growing markets for Turbocor in the U.S.,” said Rogerio Federici, Vice President of Danfoss Turbocor. “Our oil-free, magnetic-bearing compressor technology helps data centers meet uptime requirements while significantly reducing energy consumption, cost, strains on the power grid and greenhouse gas emissions — a win for both performance and sustainability.”
The ambassadors were excited to learn about a Danish company’s U.S. investment and leadership in decarbonization. While in Tallahassee, the ambassadors toured the 145,000 square foot manufacturing facility and advanced Application Development Center.
Beyond Turbocor, Federici also highlighted Danfoss’ footprint in the U.S, which includes sites for the company’s Drives and Power Solutions segments. As the largest market for Danfoss, the U.S. is home to over 30 Danfoss factories and three Application Development Centers. Approximately 80% of the products produced in the U.S. are sold in the U.S., reflecting the company’s commitment to U.S. manufacturing and its U.S. customers.

Local officials who joined the meeting included the Florida Secretary of Commerce, president of The National High Magnetic Field Laboratory and president of Florida State University.
