The very first Engineering Tomorrow talks conference will take place April 17 in Poland with next editions planned in Ukraine, Dubai, Brazil and India. #ETtalks held around the world to inspire a more energy-efficient future is organized by the Danfoss Group and will be livestreamed to a global audience.
We can use the technology available to build our energy-efficient buildings and systems of tomorrow - even today - by taking advantage of the knowledge and experience of the best in the business.
And it is crucial to focus on energy efficiency in buildings – which today accounts for 40% of the total energy consumption – if we shall reach the goals of the Paris agreement.
In collaboration with Harvard Business Review Danfoss presents #ETtalks, a series of global conferences with the participation of prominent speakers and visionaries from around the world. They will give an insight into the latest trends in climate and energy-friendly technologies as well as innovative concepts of intelligent buildings and cities of the future.
The very first edition of the #ETtalks conference will take place on April 17 in the POLIN Museum, Warsaw, Poland, with the participation of personalities like: Rachel Kyte (CEO of Sustainable Energy for All), Carlo Ratti (architect and engineer, professor at MIT Senseable Lab), Natalia Hatalska (trendwatcher and founder of infuture hatalska foreight institute) and special guest, mountaineer Denis Urubko.
If you are not attending the event – you will be able to livestream it from anywhere.
During #ETtalks, the participants search for answers to intriguing questions, like:
- Will the buildings of the future feel and respond?
- Can a supermarket become a virtual power station?
- In what kind of offices will we be working in 2120?
"I am excited to take part in the #ETtalks in Warsaw. I think we should promote more events like this one as they bring together people from different backgrounds, to collaborate and share ideas around relevant topics as climate and energy – with the objective of discussing our common future", says professor Carlo Ratti, Director of MIT Senseable City Lab, and Founding Partner of the international design and innovation office Carlo Ratti Associati.
“ETtalks is a window to the world of the newest technology connected with our energy future and climate action. We will be hosting the most interesting speakers from around the world, who will be talking about visions of buildings and cities of the future. The unique part of the event is that our participants are all professionals that will make these visions a reality”, says Karolina Barcewicz, Director Communications in Danfoss Poland, responsible for the organization of the event.
