Danfoss Sono® compact energy meters offers both primary side and secondary side meters for heating as well as cooling applications. They can be used in single family houses, apartment buildings and commercial buildings. All meters are high quality, ultrasonic meters for the highest accuracy and longest life time values.
Secondary side meters
They are typically installed after the heat-exchanger and by that are owned by the house, apartment or building owner. These meters cover sizes from DN15 to DN32 with flow rates from 0.6 up to 6.0 m3/h. The nominal pressure is PN16. The robust construction, open communication protocols, long battery life time and genuine diagnostics (also via App) provide many advantages to other meters available in this segment.
Primary side meters
They are typically installed before the heat-exchanger and by that are owned by district energy utilities. The conditions require meters with a robust construction and fulfilling high demand requirements on e.g. temperature and pressure. These meters cover sizes from DN15 up to DN100 with flow rates from 0.6 up to 60 m3/h and are available in pressure range PN16 and PN25.

SonoSelect™ is a compact ultrasonic meter for measuring energy consumption in heating, cooling and combined heating/cooling applications designed primarily for use in residential buildings. High flow measuring frequency (two times per second), robust housing and transducer design make it an excellent choice for flat stations with instantaneous hot water preparation.

The Danfoss SonoMeter 31 offers a range of ultrasonic, compact energy meters intended for measuring energy consumption in heating and cooling applications for billing purposes. Available in DN65 to DN100 . The meters are designed for remote meter read-out (AMR).
