Oil-free technology eliminates the complexity and performance limitations associated with oil-lubricated systems. Without oil management systems, chillers and heat pumps can operate with simpler architectures, fewer service requirements, and stable efficiency throughout their lifetime, helping facilities achieve lower lifecycle costs and greater operational confidence.

Danfoss Turbocor^® compressors are the world’s first oil-free magnetic bearing compressors for the HVAC industry, designed to deliver high efficiency, low sound levels, and reliable performance in a compact footprint. Oil-free magnetic bearings help maintain consistent performance over time with zero performance degradation caused by oil-related issues.

With built-in permanent magnet motor and variable speed drive, Turbocor^® compressor provide best in class full- and part-load efficiency for air-cooled and water-cooled chillers, heat pumps and heat recovery. The portfolio covers 40 to 450 TR and is compatible with low-GWP refrigerants including R1234ze, R513A, and R515B.

PTS improve the performance and reliability of both oil and oil-free centrifugal chillers and heat pumps. These valves offer extremely fast operation, within just 5 seconds, to prevent compressor surge and ensure stable system performance during both startup and shutdown. DST G4ze gas sensors are designed for reliable detection of R1234ze in HVAC and refrigeration systems. The sensor continuously monitors refrigerant concentration and provides a signal to the system controller, supporting early leak detection and compliance with safety requirements for mildly flammable refrigerants.
