SERBIA: Founded in 2006, Terra Production doo Inđija is the first and only contract filling plant for non-alcoholic beverages and products with lower alcohol content, in Serbia. Over nearly two decades, the company has built its reputation on safety, quality, and flexibility – delivering a wide range of drinks, from beer and soft drinks to juices and wine.
As demand for contract filling services continued to grow, Terra Production needed to expand beyond the limits of its existing capacity. The company set itself an ambitious target: increase annual output by more than 50% while ensuring energy-efficient operations, sustainability, and long-term reliability.

The entire project for the new filling line was entrusted to the system integrator, who selected Danfoss equipment as a proven standard in the food and beverage industry. For us, it was essential to reduce the number of frequency converter types for easier setup, and also to minimize the number of format adjustments per line. Since the line was installed in March this year, we are still fine-tuning the technological part, and the full results of the new line implementation will be seen in the upcoming period.

The challenge: Growing demand outpaces existing capacity
Terra Production’s filling line had reached its maximum capacity of 120 million liters per year. With customer demand on the rise, the company needed to secure a new scalable line that could increase capacity without compromising on quality, safety, or efficiency.
The management’s vision was not only to meet today’s demand, but also to future-proof operations. This meant adopting cutting-edge technologies, integrating advanced safety protocols, and choosing solutions that contribute to reduced environmental impact and sustainable growth.

The solution: Turnkey line with 40 next-generation iC7 drives
For this ambitious expansion, Terra Production partnered with Trasing DOO Stalać, a Serbian system integrator with 40 years of experience in material handling and the food and beverage industry. Trasing designed and delivered a turnkey filling line that combined efficiency, flexibility, and the latest industry standards.

At the heart of the new line are 40 Danfoss iC7 drives, provided by INDAS DOO Novi Sad, the authorized Danfoss distributor in Serbia. Introduced to the market only a year earlier, the iC7 series represents a new generation of drives that deliver outstanding performance in terms of reliability, precision, and built-in safety features.
This project also marked a milestone: the first installation of Danfoss iC7 drives in the Adriatic region. Beyond production efficiency, the iC7 series supports energy optimization, enabling Terra Production to minimize its environmental footprint while meeting ambitious capacity goals.

Every decision we make starts with our clients’ needs and ambitions. With over 40 years of experience as a system integrator across diverse industries, especially in food and beverage, we understand the importance of selecting the right equipment. For this project, it was essential to use the latest products that align with future technologies, turning every achievement into an opportunity for innovation and continuous improvement.

As a long-standing sales and service partner of Danfoss in Serbia, this project allowed us to offer our client the most advanced frequency drive on the market, the iC7 drive, introduced just last year. While the line only went live in March 2025, we expect strong results in the coming months, and this installation will serve as an excellent reference for other clients in the region.

The outcome: From 120M to 200M liters: production redefined
Since commissioning, the new line has boosted Terra Production’s annual capacity by 70% – from 120 million liters to 180–200 million liters, depending on product type.
Early results demonstrate not only increased throughput but also improved reliability and significant time savings in operations. Fine-tuning of the process is ongoing, but the long-term benefits are already clear: Terra Production is now better positioned to meet growing customer demand, reduce energy consumption, and ensure sustainable production.
By choosing Danfoss iC7 drives, Terra Production has secured a future-ready solution that balances growth with sustainability, strengthens its market position, and sets new standards for beverage production in the region.

Our idea was to offer futureproof VFDs that would operate in an energy-efficient and, above all, reliable way throughout the entire service life of the conveyor.
