As you may know, the Danfoss Group is currently revamping and streamlining its SAP-based ERP systems in a structured manner across all Danfoss companies. The work is progressing well at the Vaasa site (Vacon Oy/Ltd, Danfoss Drives) which belongs to the fifth release of the entire global Danfoss ERP program. This platform is a well-tested and established ERP environment, and a big portion of the Danfoss business is already utilizing it. Vaasa is scheduled to go live on November 2nd, 2020.
The Danfoss ERP program in Vaasa was launched one year ago following a detailed and systematic plan. All deployments and plans are gaining valuable insights from the previous 4 releases in 36 factories / sales offices and in more than 10 countries. With regards to our customers, we have an extensive risk and mitigation plan in place.
Please note there will be a cut-over, or ‘silent’ period in our factory from October 28th to November 2nd, 2020. No deliveries will be dispatched from the Vaasa factory during that period. This only applies to VACON® branded products.
• In November, delivery times may be longer than normal.
• After the go-live on November 2nd, the production lines will be started one by one. The first product deliveries will be made on November 4th.
• If you would like to have orders delivered by the end of October, please place your orders three weeks prior so that we can deliver right on time before the start of the cut-over period.
The Vaasa site is very much looking forward to the new ERP system. It is a significant upgrade to our former system - and we feel confident it will bring tangible benefits to our customers.
