Danfoss introduces the iC7-HVACR – a new, groundbreaking product portfolio that brings together variable speed drives and ultra low-harmonic drives. Built on 35 years of HVACR expertise and a proven track record of 6 million installed drives in HVACR applications, the iC7-HVACR combines intelligence, efficiency, ease of use, and reliability to deliver unmatched performance for today’s indoor climate and infrastructure demands.
We are pleased to introduce our next generation, dedicated HVACR VSD at ARBS 2026. It is not only built for today’s demands of providing high quality indoor air, a high level of comfort and reliable cooling water but is also ready for the demands of tomorrow with a strong focus on solutions for digitalization, cybersecurity and sustainability. The ultra low-harmonic variant delivers exceptionally low harmonic current distortion and with an innovative 3-level active rectifier does so in a compact, lightweight, easy to install package with unrivalled low power losses and high efficiency, helping to save installation costs and ongoing operating costs.

Setting a new standard with a full HVACR portfolio.
The new iC7-HVACR variable speed drives and ultra low-harmonic drives deliver unmatched performance for indoor climate and infrastructure demands.
All iC7-HVACR drives come with built-in intelligence, enabling the drive to become the controller with integrated sensors, new add-on sensor types, HVACR specific functions, and powerful analytics to streamline and reduce complexity in Building Management Systems (BMS). The embedded crypto chip provides advanced security protection against cyber threats, while efficient back-channel cooling eliminates up to 90% of heat loss from enclosures and electrical rooms.
Uptime is maximized with a range of features designed to reduce motor wear and protect components. Predictive maintenance with closed-loop, Edge powered condition-based monitoring means prompt engagement with a service engineer before an issue arises.
Additionally, the iC7-HVACR ultra low-harmonic variant with an integrated active rectifier delivers exceptional THDi (<3%) and minimal losses – ideal for IEEE 519 applications requiring superior power quality. Advanced 3-Level, silicon carbide (SiC) IGBT technology allows for a compact, lightweight, and easily integrated drive package.
Plus, the iC7 HVACR Ultra Low Harmonic variant features integrated semiconductor fuses, removing the need for costly upstream protection. This gives you the freedom to choose any short circuit protection device to safeguard your cables — from circuit breakers to gG fuses. The result: simpler installation, reduced costs, and greater flexibility.
With built-in sensors and software, users gain features such as power measurement, electronic overload functionality, and both status and control through the BMS to ensure operational continuity regardless of operating mode, setting a new standard in the HVACR industry.
The iC7-HVACR products will debut at ARBS Exhibition 2026, May 5th - 7th , 2026 at Danfoss booth 417.
