Danfoss marked a significant milestone on May 17th, 2023 with the signing of Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with Universiti Kuala Lumpur - Malaysia France Institute (UniKL MFI). This notable partnership aims to encourage collaboration between the two parties through knowledge sharing sessions by Danfoss experts in energy efficiency and digitalization technologies, as well as maximizing the efficiency and functionality of UniKL MFI’s workshops.
The MoA also extends access for both Danfoss and UniKL MFI as platforms to exhibit to various stakeholders like building owners, policy makers, engineering consultants and system integrators, steering inspirational applications to multiple building types. The collaboration is expected to take this partnership to new levels.
“Danfoss has a long and proud history of working with universities around the world to engineer tomorrow’s solutions and prepare engineering students for their future career. In Malaysia, we have worked with UniKL MFI for over a decade and are now stepping up our relationship by helping UniKL MFI to create state of the art HVAC facility with digital hydronics, friction free magnetic bearing compressor chillers, condition-based monitoring, and performance optimization at a system, rather than component level.
The next generation is watching closely on what we commit today, deploying the most advance technologies and skillsets to battle against climate change, the very threat to all life on earth. We have proven decarbonization by energy efficiency in a large scale is achievable globally. It is a worthy effort to pass on these legacies, knowledge and mission to generations marshalling the best efforts in betterment of living for the world,” said Allan Jensen, General Manager of Danfoss Malaysia.
Tengku Mohd Azahar Tuan Dir, Dean of UniKL MFI, expressed: “The collaboration started with the MoU and our upcoming Perdana Hall HVAC upgrading project, which is currently a part of the MoA. Averaging three seminars and training for HVACR students and lecturers per year, UniKL MFI and Danfoss Malaysia have collaborated more than 20 projects. It is a significant accomplishment, and UniKL MFI is appreciative of the helpful industrial collaboration it has with Danfoss Malaysia. The students were exposed to the most recent technology for HVAC system energy optimisation and refrigeration management through seminars and training. UniKL MFI looks forward to strong partnership with Danfoss in many years to come.”
