Since 1968 Danfoss Drives has been dedicated to developing VLT® electronics to control speed, torque, acceleration, synchronisation, positioning, and the overall performance of AC motors. The reliable and innovative VLT® drives are designed to support any automation application and provide major energy savings. An awardwinning, innovative modular design makes VLT® drives extremely flexible, enabling us to deliver within days highly customised drives, tested from the factory. VLT® drives are provided within the range 0.18 - 1,200 kW.

Danfoss Drives now have available a CD covering  the HVAC industry, its requirements and application examples. The VLT 6000 Inverter range specifically designed for this industry, is also fully explained in this interactive CD.

40 years of progress

1968 was the year, Danfoss put the VLT® 5 on the market. Some drives from the first series still control motor speed in their applications, proving the VLT® reliability.

Customer driven development has ever since assured the reliability, innovation and flexibility that make VLT® the strongest brand in the global drives market and made Danfoss Drives a leading provider of frequency converters globally.

Also the 40th anniversary year 2008 illustrates the progress, as the product range is completed to cover the entire low voltage market with series from 0.18 kW to 1.2 MW.
