We have opened our new Marine Application Development Center (ADC) in Busan, South Korea.
Located in one of the world's leading shipbuilding hubs, the center provides a space where customers and partners can test applications, validate concepts, and develop solutions together with Danfoss experts.
The opening comes at an exciting time for Korea's maritime industry. The Korean Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries (MOF) has announced a new call for applications under its Certified Environment-Friendly Vessel Support Program, increasing government subsidies to up to 30% of eligible vessel construction costs. The initiative is expected to accelerate investment in battery-electric, hybrid, LNG-powered and other certified low-emission technologies, supporting the continued decarbonization of Korea's coastal shipping sector.
Since the launch of the Green Ship-K Initiative in 2020, Danfoss Drives has supplied propulsion and power conversion solutions for more than 50 coastal vessels, many of which are now operating successfully in Korean waters.
As investment in low-emission technologies continues to grow, the Busan ADC will help customers and partners develop, test and bring new solutions to market faster.
