Since 2004, Danfoss has had a Code of Conduct for Suppliers that defines the Group’s environmental and social requirements. All suppliers are required to sign the Code, and Danfoss performs regular supplier audits to verify compliance and to ensure that any non-compliance is addressed and remedied.
Danfoss supports the efforts of governments and human rights organizations to end violence and atrocities in conflict zones e.g. in Central Africa. Danfoss has established a process to ensure that our suppliers adopt policies and management systems with respect to conflict minerals. Danfoss requires its suppliers to establish their own due diligence programs to ensure conflict-free supply chains. Suppliers are required to supply materials to Danfoss that are conflict-free.
In manufacturing our products, we use a number of chemicals and other substances, which may be harmful to humans or the environment. Danfoss continually aims to limit the use of such substances: if they cannot readily be omitted or replaced, Danfoss makes sure they are utilized as efficiently as possible, and that measures are taken to protect our employees and the environment.
