Danfoss A/S and OE3i ApS announced that they will enter into a strategic cooperation under which Danfoss and OE3i will work together to accelerate digitalization within the district energy segment.
The future of district energy is evolving right now in Copenhagen's Nordhavn district. The EnergyLab Nordhavn is developing ways to integrate renewable power, heat, transport and energy-efficient buildings into an intelligent, flexible energy system. Among the innovations making this possible are connected components that continuously optimize energy consumption and provide data on energy flows; district heating networks suitable for ultra-low temperatures; and such unconventional energy sources as excess heat from refrigeration units in supermarkets.
Today, the European Commission’s proposes updates for the 1998 Drinking Water Directive to increase transparency in the drinking water sector. Danfoss welcomes the proposal as it will drive investments to reduce energy consumption and drinking water leakage, which are two parts of the same coin.
