VLT® drives control energy consumption at LEGOLAND® - saving energy with a splash

190,000 kWh of electricity saved per season by installing Danfoss VLT® drives on the Vikings River Splash attraction at LEGOLAND®
The popular Vikings River Splash in LEGOLAND® consumes more energy than nearly everything else in the amusement park.
After installing two 132 kW, VLT® 6172 frequency converters to control the pumps that ensure a stable and reliable flow of water, the attraction's energy consumption has dropped from 440,000 to 250,000 kWh per season.
At the same time LEGOLAND® has been able to increase the number of boats they can send off filled with fun seeking guests.
