This release expands the VLT AutomationDrive's ability to communicate on Ethernet, so that we today offer support for Ethernet/IP, Modbus TCP and ProfiNET.
The ProfiNET option module as it is available now offers the following functionality:
- Support for PPO type 3, 4, 6, 7 and 8
- Fast ProfiNET communication; update speed down to 2 mSec on cyclic data
- MCT 10 support via Ethernet
- DCP support for easy setup of communication parameters via PLC's configuration tool (e.g. Siemens Step 7)
- Onboard webpage with drive status, enabling access to drive information via a web interface (like Internet Explorer or Firefox)
- Two ports support line structure and eliminate the need for expensive switches
For the time being, the ProfiNET MCA-120 option module is only available for the FC 302.
