Danfoss Ranks Among the World’s Most Respected Companies

08 June 2007
Reputation Institute rates Danfoss 12 in 2007 RepTrakTM Pulse of companies with best reputations in the world
Danfoss, a global leader in supplying components, controls, compressors and systems for air conditioning and refrigeration, has recently been named number 12 of 200 companies with the best corporate reputations in the world.

The 2007 Global RepTrakTM Pulse is the second annual ranking of corporate reputations of the world’s largest companies. Reputation Institute created the study to communicate to corporate executives how their companies faired with consumers. RepTrak ranks companies based on 23 key attributes in which most companies build reputation, including performance, product/service, innovation, workplace, governance, citizenship and leadership. The top 200 companies are listed in the annual RepTrak report.

“Danfoss is honored to be recognized by consumers as a brand with universal respect,” said John Galyen, president of Danfoss Refrigeration & Air-Conditioning, North America. “It is a continuous goal of Danfoss’ to strive to build and maintain strong customer and corporate relationships.”

Over 60,000 online interviews were conducted with consumers spanning 29 countries in six continents in January and February 2007 to measure the reputation of more than 1,000 companies. Companies were rated by consumers in their home country from an average of at least 100 ratings provided by local respondents who are familiar with the company.

Danfoss ranked 12, placing the company in the top tier—companies in this category are considered to have an excellent reputation. The top tier was dominated by European companies, including IKEA (second), Barilla (third), Mercadona (fourth), AP Moller (fifth), Ferro (seventh) and Rockwool (tenth). LEGO, of Denmark, received the top overall ranking in the study. In 2006, Danfoss placed 11 in the first annual RepTrak Pulse report.

Reputation Institute was founded in 1997 with the mission to help companies create value from reputation and to create reputation strategies for organizations around the world.
