The food industry’s stainless steel production environments require resilient components to withstand aggressive media. Outer surfaces must cope with powerful detergents and cleaners, while inner surfaces are subject to demineralised water and steam, and cleaners. The Danfoss range of stainless steel solenoid valves can meet the demands of aggressive media.

Our solenoid valves have a number of advantages:

Electrical coils of up to IP67 protection
Easy to mount clip-on coils for extremely wet or aggressive environments
Isolating diaphragm to meet specific pilot part requirements

Danfoss’ MBS series pressure transmitters offer high accuracy, user-friendliness and operational reliability. Type 4510 is equipped with a flush diaphragm and the special pressure connection means the transmitter can cope with situations where media are aggressive, heterogeneous or thick flowing. And the transmitters can be easily adjusted.

In the food industry, it’s important that temperature sensors are equipped with measuring insets that can be replaced quickly and easily. The Danfoss MBT series fulfils this requirement, and the model ensures optimal response time. The measuring inset reduces response time by up to 50 percent compared to the previous model. And if heat-conductive paste is used, response time can be reduced by up to 70 percent.

Danfoss’ temperature sensors and transmitters offer a wide range of installation and build-in lengths, pressure connections and transmitter types – so it’s easy to find the optimal solution.

Mechanical and electronic contactors, overload relays and motor controls are widely used in the food industry. Danfoss’ extensive range includes the smallest mini-contactors to the largest frequency converters, which can be serially connected to different systems.
