Solenoid valve EV250

The high-performance, multi-purpose solenoid valve

16 August 2007
The EV250B range of assisted-lift solenoid valves has been popular for many years – and it’s easy to see why. The EV250B combines the best from a direct-operated valve with the benefits of a servo-operated valve. The result is a high-performance valve that can be used in almost all industrial applications and is particularly good for systems with low differential pressures and high flow.

Many advantages in numerous applications

A great all-round valve, the EV250B series of assisted-lift solenoid valves is very successful. Not only is it flexible, it also offers a variety of benefits from easy installation to reduced maintenance costs.

Thanks to the closing spring and diaphragm, the EV250B is the preferred choice for many manufacturers in applications with low differential pressures, such as heating systems. But it’s also ideal for the customer who doesn’t know or can’t predict the exact pressure conditions. A wholesaler can happily recommend the EV250B for a water treatment system, safe in the knowledge that it can handle all pressures from 0-10 bar.

And of course, it also has performance advantages. The moulded diaphragm and optimized valve cone limit water hammer (a pressure surge that judders the pipe and other machine parts), reducing noise and increasing the lifetime of the system. Designed for use with the user-friendly and well known clip-on coil system, it’s easy to install and mount. The built-in O-ring between coil and valve body gives an excellent seal and the dezincification resistant brass body ensures a long life, even in slightly aggressive technical water and steam.

The EV250B range covers four sizes in two different seal materials and comes in both normally closed and normally open versions.
It comes with a handy mounting guide booklet which explains how the valve works, how to install it and gives troubleshooting advice. Using small illustrations, the booklet makes installation and usage simple.
